It’s landed him on an episode of the Facebook Watch show “Returning the Favor,” hosted by Mike Rowe. That episode is scheduled to air next year.
Gerken, an Omaha firefighter, created the project in 2013.
“It’s not about the furniture. It’s about us showing that we care about you, that this community values every member within it,” Gerken told KETV Newswatch 7.
